Published by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and Fundación Azcona, it represents the culmination of an arduous project that began over thirty years ago. Promoted by Fernando Zóbel on the artist's death, Juan Manuel Bonet was the first to undertake this task. The work would be continued by Miriam Fernández Moreno.
Under the constant guidance and supervision of Elvireta Escobio, the artist's widow, the final 'corpus' and conclusions would be completed by Alfonso de la Torre, who carried out complex research work on the artist for years.
The fully illustrated catalogue contains more than five hundred works made by Manolo Millares, from the fifties until his death. In addition, the objects and artefacts, as well as ceramics, set designs and rugs designed by the artist are also catalogued along with abundant documentary sources.
This is an essential publication providing information about the career of this exceptional artist, whose work remains valid in the 21st century due to the depth and quality of his creations, thirty-two years after his death.
