Winner of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport’s Best Published Art Book Awards 2019, which acknowledges and rewards “its great difficulty in binding, its amazing study work and impeccable layout. Excellent congruence between content and continent ”.
The catalogue raisonné includes the visual and experimental work of Ca-talan artist Joan Brossa that has not been reproduced in serigraphs.
Most of this work was rarely, if ever, seen in public, until the Poesia Brossa exhibi-tion at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) (21 September 2017 - 25 February 2018). This collection was presented in books or series, mainly in paper format and ordered chronologically and by series.
The catalogue includes the following works:
Two-dimensional Poemes experimentals produced on paper between 1941 and 1959.
Suites de poesia visual produced between 1959 and 1969, some of which were publi-shed as artist books with Antoni Tàpies and Joan Miró.
Poemes solts (1960) and Poemes esparsos (1963), both collections of visual poetry.
Poemes habitables (1970) produced as a series of 45 collections of poems covering a wide range of concepts, mainly organi-sed in folders with an unspecified number of poems.
