Jointly edited by the Martín Chirino Foundation for Art and Thought and the Azcona Foundation, this catalogue pays tribute to Martín Chirino on the Centenary of his birth (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, March 1, 1925 – Madrid, March 11, 2019), on the occasion of the exhibition at the Niemeyer Center, curated by Alfonso de la Torre, and supported by Acción Cultural Española, AC/E.

The exhibition covers three fundamental decades in the artist’s career and brings together 27 sculptures and around thirty drawings, accompanied by film pieces, correspondence, photographs, publications, and music that document and contextualize the artist’s intense relationship with the United States throughout his career.
