Jointly edited by the Fundación de Arte y Pensamiento Martín Chirino and the Azcona Foundation, this third volume of the Encyclopaedia of the Canarian artist ‘Winds. A spiral path to the origin', is written by Fernando Castro Flórez, professor of Aesthetics at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid and art critic. The spiral, for this creator, refers to the islands in a double sense: it is an iconographic motif of the aboriginal culture, of the paintings that are preserved in the Canary Museum, but it is also the consistency of the wind that tightens and warps the plants, their branches, that ripples the waves, that explodes against the rocks.
